Rector of Grace Church in Galesburg, IL, and Canon Liturgist of the Diocese of Quincy, he is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point with a BA in Philosophy (with further studies in Natural Resource Management), and of Nashotah House, where he earned his MDiv. Originally from the Diocese of Fond du Lac, he also served in the Dioceses of Milwaukee and Albany. "Father Thomas" enjoys teaching in the Quincy Diocesan School for Ministry, and especially St. Michael's Conference.

Fr. Mike is rector of St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church in Tullahoma, Tennessee. He was formerly assistant at St. Peter’s Episcopal in Columbia, Tennessee, after he graduated from Nashotah House.

        Fr. Geromel attended Virginia Military Institute for a year, graduating from Hillsdale College the next year. He has served on staff at St. Michael's Conference Ontario and Anglican Life Adventure Camp. He also directed an Altar Boys' Retreat for the Anglican Fellowship of the Delaware Valley for four years.
        Rector of St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Greenwood, S.C. he has published in
Mandate and The Convent Society and recently had an article in Touchstone. His tract, "A Young Man's Views on Altar Servers", The Convent Society, reflects his commitment to youth.

St. Michael’s Staff

Bishop Hewett is the Diocesan for the Diocese of the Holy Cross, a traditional Anglican jurisdiction, and Rector of Church of the Transfiguration in Phoenix, PA. Raised in Philadelphia, Bishop attended Philadelphia and Episcopal Divinity Schools. He served as Curate of Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont before resigning with then Rector, Fr. George Rutler and leaving the Episcopal Church. In 1977, he helped Fr. Rutler begin a parish north of New York City. Bp. Hewett served in many states, including California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Washington D.C., and Virginia, establishing parishes, helping to train men for ordination, and doing networking. In 2005, he became the third diocesan bishop for the Diocese of the Holy Cross.

 

Fr. Gene Geromel has been the Father Director of the conference for 16 years. He is rector of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Swartz Creek, MI.

Father Kelly is a graduate of Nashotah House Theological Seminary, served his curacy at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rosemont, Pennsylvania, and was the Rector of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Fr. Kelly is now rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Detroit, Michigan.

      Rector of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Macomb, IL, Fr. Drummond has served as Diocesan Youth Director for the Diocese of Quincy.  He is also an accomplished musician.

      Fr. Sterne is chaplain of St. Theodore’s Anglican Chapel, an outreach mission of the Anglican Church of the Epiphany in Columbia, South Carolina, where he also serves as an assistant.

       Rector of Mt. Calvary in Baltimore, the Rev. Jason A. Catania, SSC graduated from Notre Dame, before entering the PhD.program in musicology at Washington U. St. Louis. Although raised Lutheran, Fr. Catania discovered Anglicanism and became an “extreme” Anglo-Catholic, a label he wears proudly. His master’s thesis was on musical settings for Burial from the Book of Common Prayer. He completed his M.Div. spent a year at Nashotah House and was ordained deacon, serving at St. George’s, Schenectady as curate. He was awarded the S.T.M. cum laude by Nashotah before being ordained priest by Bp. Herzog of Albany.  He became priest-in-charge of St. James’, Lake Delaware, NY before he took up his duties at Mount Calvary in April 2006. He is Domestic Chaplain to Pope St. Leo the Great Cat.

St. Michael’s Conference for Youth

             Daniel Godsil graduated from Webster University in 2004. He also studied in Vienna under Austrian composer Robert Spour and American pianist Gila Perach-Hersch.

             He is co-founder of St. Louis’ Young Composers Concert Series at Christ Church Cathedral, although he works primarily as a composer for the screen and concert. He will be our new choir master at St. Michael’s this year (2009).
